The American Indian Law Journal offers free online access to Indian Law scholarship

Seattle University School of LawSeattle University School of Law is filling a gap in Indian law scholarship by publishing a free online journal. The American Indian Law Journal was first published as a trial issue in 2012 and is now being published in a Spring and Fall issue each year. All articles are available in PDF format and the entire issue can also be downloaded as a PDF.

The journal focuses primarily on federal Indian law, but includes some articles on tribal law as well. The most recent Fall 2013 issue featured articles on the utility of amicus briefs before the Supreme Court, tribal advocacy in environmental issues, and the Indian Reorganization act, among others.

NILL features American Indian Law Journal articles in our Law Review & Bar Journal Indian Law Bulletin. If you would like to be notified of these and other updates in Indian Law, you can register to receive our Indian Law Bulletins here (when you sign up for NARF email alerts, you will have the option to select which types of emails you would like to receive, including the NILL Indian Law Bulletins).
